On the undercard to Miguel Cotto-Michael Jennings at New York's Madison Square Garden, middleweight prospect Matt Korobov (4-0, 4KOs) stopped Cory Jones (4-5, 1KOs) in the fourth and final round with a few seconds left in the fight.

The first round was a feeling out process with Korobov chasing after Jones and landing some good straight rights to the body. Jones tried to bring the fight to Korobov in the second. Korobov went back to the body. When Jones was hit by a hard left, he held on when Korobov tried to follow  up with more punches.

Jones continued to hold on the third. Korobov was not able to get off as well as he could and a lot of that had to do with the constant holding of Jones. The fouth and final round followed the same pattern as the previous three. Not much action and Jones was just looking to survive. In the final ten seconds, a wicked right hand caught Jones on the chin and dropped him flat on his face. The ref stopped the fight.
