The Championships Committee of the World Boxing Association, in compliance with Rule 28 of the agency - ordered the fight for vacant 115-pound title between the highest ranked contenders - Kohei Kono (28-8, 11KOs) and Denkaosan Kaovichit (62-3-1, 26KOs). Kaovichit is currently the leading contender for the super flyweight belt, while Kono is the second runner-up and the former champion of the division. Both parties have been advised. The belt became vacant after champion Liborio Solis failed to make weight a few weeks ago for a unification with IBF champion Daiki Kameda in Japan.
