The Championships Committee of the World Boxing Association has been advised that March 26th is the agreed upon date for Kohei Kono (28-8, 11KOs) vs. Denkaosan Kaovichit (62-3-1, 26KOs) - who were ordered to battle for the WBA's vacant 115-pound title. The fight will take place in Tokyo, Japan.

Kaovichit is currently the leading contender for the super flyweight belt, while Kono is the second runner-up and the former champion of the division. The belt became vacant after champion Liborio Solis failed to make weight a few weeks ago for a unification with IBF champion Daiki Kameda in Japan.
