Michael Koncz, adviser to WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, has been impressed by the boxer's ongoing training camp and says the Filipino star is looking better than ever. Pacquiao defends his title against undefeated Chris Algieri, the WBO's champion at 140-pounds, on November 22nd in Macau, China.
Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38 KOs) vs. Algieri (20-0, 8KOs) will be the headline bout of an HBO Pay-Per-View event.
“If he sustains that kind of training and keeps his mindset in the fight, I strongly predicted Manny could knock out Algieri,” Koncz told The Manila Times
“[Conditioning coach] Justine [Fortune] is very happy to see Manny in a good fighting condition. He gets quicker and smarter each day. There’s no problem in his health. A knock out win for Manny is a huge possibility if he keeps training that way.”
