The exciting sport of boxing has entertained fans around the world for years. Unfortunately, homelessness has become a larger problem in Atlanta.
Pro boxers in the southeast have decided it’s time for them to step up and do their part to help with homelessness in Atlanta.
The boxers encourage people to come out to the Americas Mart in Atlanta, GA on November 17. A fight card will be held, with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to benefit the homeless in Atlanta.
They have partnered with a local 501(c)(3) charity, Happy Meals on Wheels. Happy Meals on Wheels provides meals and clothes bi-weekly to the homeless in Atlanta. Boxing has made its mark in Atlanta and has been very successful over the years.
“Happy Meals on Wheels feed and clothe hundreds of people a month, so we are constantly in need of funding. We truly appreciate these Boxers for donating some of their proceeds to our charity. Their generosity will truly help our organization reach more people,” says Nicky Calienbo, founder of the Happy Meals on Wheels and owner of Nicky’s Seafood on Whitehall Street.
Pro boxers Quatavious “KING” Cash from Atlanta, GA, Kenneth “Bullet Hands” McNeil from Birmingham Alabama, Tyler “Hercules” Howard from Crossville, TN, and Randy “The Gentleman” Griffin, from Stone Mountain, GA have partnered with Nicky’s Seafood Restaurant, KO KINGS PROMOTIONS, and Lotus Boutique to help raise funds for this charity.
The show will take place on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Americas Mart located at 250 Spring Street Blg #3 in Atlanta, GA 30303. For more information, please contact Nicky’s Seafood at (404) 588-3474 or go to http://www.KOKings.net.
