KO TO DRUGS is a World Boxing Association classic. Last season it was held at Buenos Aires over three nights, with Marvin Hagler and Don King at ringside. This year, KO TO DRUGS will be returning to Argentina. It will be held at the Orfeo Superdome Stadium of Cordoba City, on April 28.

“We liked very much what happened in Argentina last year, and for this reason we will return again”, said Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, from the WBA. “Cordoba is a great place, with a lot of tradition. The land of world champions such as Santos Laciar and Gustavo Ballas and a tremendous puncher by the name of Juan Roldan. As a matter of fact, the Superdome stadium is placed among the best in the country. And with an enthusiastic public. What else we can ask for?”

AMONG OTHER NAMES, Marcelo Dominguez, Javier Mamani, Fabio “La Mole” Moli and Marcos Maidana, are some national candidates. From Venezuela will came Edwin Valero. “For the Argentinean boxing scene, this is a very important event, so we will give all our support”, said Osvaldo Bisbval president of the Argentina Boxing Federation. It will be the 15th edition of this event, one of the most important on the World Boxing Association calendar.
