AMI, headed by Michel Acaries, promotes its annual mega show on December 2 in Bercy - and it´s also a mega-title event. French star Brahim Asloum drops down to mini flyweight and takes on Spaniard Rafael Lozano for the vacant WBA I/C crown in what is a rematch of the 2000 Olympic finals where Asloum won. At cruiserweight Valery Brudov and Luis Andres Pineda clash for the WBA interim title. EBU super middleweight ruler Deviya Gogiya takes on Jackson Chanet, at stake is also the WBA I/C belt. Roberto Vazquez and Takefumi Sakata square off for the WBA interim title at flyweight. WBA and WIBF female jr welterweight champ Miriam Lamare defends against Ann Sophie Mathis, who holds the EBU title - and all three titles will be at stake. Finally, at light heavyweight Rachid Kanfouah will go for the WBO I/C belt. Cruiserweight Jean Marc Monrose, lightweight Jean Nicolas Weigel and bantamweight Jerome Arnould are all on the undercard.

French welterweight Frederik Klose has relinquished the EBU title to concentrate on a world title shot in 2007. Klose´s mandatory challenger, Belgian Jackson Osei Bonsu, will now fight another Frenchman, Nordine Mouchi, for the vacant title. Osei Bonsu, still rather unknown, have for some time been the man to avoid at 147.

The Axel Schulz vs Brian Minto bill at the Gerry Weber Stadion in Halle/Westfalen will be relatively small boxing wise and consist of five fights. Comebacking middleweight Jerry Elliott returns against Pole Andrzej Butowicz and the Jaco brothers, Adam and Aaron, take on German opponents.

German middleweight Sebastian Sylvester will have a final tuneup on the Sauerland show on December 16 in Kempten before again taking on EBU champ Amin Asikainen early in 2007. The EBU has set November 20 as deadline for negotiations or purse bids.
