From every possible corner, groups are banding together to present offers for the promotional rights to the Wladimir Klitschko vs. Alexander Leapai heavyweight clash for the WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF titles. The fight is being targeted for March 8th. The two sides have until Friday to reach a deal or the fight will head to a purse bid.
Russian promoter Vladimir Hryunov has already expressed his interest in taking part in the purse bid. Russian billionaire David Traktovenko, owner of the Sydney FC football club, is also interested in staging the fight. And now there is talk that a group of investors are looking to secure the fight for the Venetian Casino in Macau, China.
