Klitschko vs Briggs is Far From a Done Deal, Says Boente

BoxingScene.com was advised by Bernd Boente, the manager for WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko, that a possible fight with Shannon Briggs is far from a done deal. Numerous outlets have reported a Klitschko-Briggs fight as being a finished product for a fall date.

Boente told BoxingScene that "no date" and "no opponent" has been finalized for Klitschko's return. However, Briggs could become a possible option, says Boente, because of his WBC ranking. Briggs is ranked at number 9.

Other options could include, number 1 ranked Odlanier Solis, number 2 ranked Nikolai Valuev and number 5 ranked Tomasz Adamek.
