BoxingScene.com was advised that a heavyweight clash between WBC champion Vitali Klitschko and challenger Chris Arreola is very close to a done deal. Contrary to some reports, the fight is not signed but both sides "do not see any obstacles that will prevent the fight from being finalized."
The fight would take place on September 26 with the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California as the venue of choice. HBO will televise the fight. Vitali has not fought on the network since the TKO win over Danny Williams in December 2004.
