According to a report by Kevin Mitchell of The Guardian , WBA heavyweight champion David Haye will soon receive confirmation on which Klitschko is going to face him on June 25 or July 2. Adam Booth, Haye's trainer and manager, said there were further talks with the Klitschkos' manager, Bernd Bönte, over the weekend in Cologne. The fight appear to be pushing in direction of the July 2 date in Germany.
Booth was told that Wladimir, the IBO/WBO/IBF champion, is still struggling with a stomach muscle injury, which caused him to withdraw from two scheduled dates with Dereck Chisora. If Wladimir is not physically ready by the first week of May, then Haye will face older bother, and WBC champion, Vitali Klitschko, who barely broke a sweat in Cologne when he stopped Odlanier Solis in one round. Bönte has already announced that Vitali wants to return by June.
"Third week of April we will make an announcement," Booth said. "By the first week of May, Wladimir will have to tell us if he is fit to fight."
Booth also revealed that he and Bönte are flying this week to New York to hold meetings with HBO and Showtime executives, with the goal of possibly finalizing an American television deal with one of them.
