Undefeated heavyweight prospect Justin Jones, 13-0 (9 KOs), takes on Stacy Frazier, 14-8 (13 KOs), tonight (Dec. 8) in the main event at the Houston Club in Downtown Houston.
The bout headlines “Holiday Extravaganza,” staged by Savarese Boxing Promotions, and will air via tape-delay on Dec. 17 on Fox Sports.
Jones, 29, just returned from Austria where he was serving as a sparring partner to triple-crown heavyweight titleholder Wladimir Klitschko, 56-3 (49 KOs)in preparation for a title defense against Jean-Marc Mormeck. The bout was scheduled for this weekend, but Klitschko was forced to pull out due to kidney stones.
Frazier, 41, is the nephew of the late great 'Smokin' Joe Frazier.
Also fighting on the card in separate bouts are: junior middleweight Joe Greene, 23-1 (15 KOs); welterweight Cleotis Pendarvis, 12-3-2 (4 KOs); junior welterweight KC Martinez, 8-1 (5 KOs); super bantamweight Eric Manriquez, 4-0 (2 KOs); and heavyweight Steven Moreno, 4-1 (4 KOs).
