Wladimir Klitschko is expecting Jean-Marc Mormeck to give him a tougher fight than David Haye - but says he still has no chance. The Ukrainian puts his WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles on the line against the former cruiserweight champion in Dusseldorf, Germany, on December 10th.
Haye beat Mormeck when they met at for the unified titles in 2007 and was floored by the Frenchman before turning it round and stopping him in the seventh. But Klitschko, fresh from schooling the Brit in July, expects this former cruiserweight to put up more of a fight.
"I'm not expecting him to move backward like David Haye," he said. "That's not Jean-Marc's style. The only thing that he knows is to move forward. I'm taking Jean-Marc very seriously. He was fighting David Haye and he almost knocked him out. I was fighting David Haye and couldn't really land right shots. So I couldn't do the same thing that Jean-Marc did."
At just under 6ft, Mormeck will be conceding even more height and weight than Haye did when his turn comes to take on the 6ft 6in Klitschko.
Moremeck insists he has the power to become the first man in 15 fights and seven years to stop Klitschko, even though all three of his heavyweight wins have been on points.
"He has lost three fights and each time he lost them without going the distance," he said. "He couldn't recover each time he got hit. That means he doesn't take those hits well. I've already seen you in a bad shape quite a few times. Wladimir has a glass chin that I will break."
