Klitschko-Arreola Early Results: Boswell, Ramos Win

By Ernest Gabion

At Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, the opening bout of the night saw heavyweight contender Cedric Boswell win an uninspiring unaninmous decision over Arreola sparring partner Cisse Salif. Boswell seemed content to box on the outside while Salif obliged. Boswell improves to 31-1 with 24 KOs while Salif falls to 23-16 and 21KOs.

The second bout pitted Goossen Tutor prospect Rico Suave Ramos against former world title holder Kermin Guardia. Guardia, a game southpaw who has been in with a fairly stellar lineup of fighters was no match for the younger and faster Ramos. Ramos cruises to a unaninmous decision by scores of 60-54 twice and 59-55. Rios improves to 13-0 8KOs while Guardia drops to 37-10 20KOs.
