Klara Svensson (15-1, 5 KOs) intends to prove she is back and stronger than ever on September 19 when she takes on Lucia Morelli (19-5, 9 KOs) at the Rosvalla Stora Ishallen at the Nyköpings Arenor in Nyköping, Sweden, in a repeat of their entertaining interim WBC World title bout in November 2014.

Svensson, who returns following an unsuccessful attempt at Erica Farias’ WBC crown, was originally scheduled to face Marisa Gabriela Nunez for the IBF Female World Light Welterweight title, but an injury suffered by the Argentinian champion forced the fight to be postponed.

Instead, ‘The Swedish Princess’ will renew her rivalry with the German-based Italian Morelli in an eight-round contest on the undercard of Erik Skoglund’s historic IBF Intercontinental Light Heavyweight title defence against Oleksandr Cherviak.

‘’This will be the first time that I’ve faced the same opponent twice, so that will be interesting,’’ said Svensson, who outpointed Morelli in a high-octane ten-round clash in their first encounter. ‘’I was pleased with my performance last time, but it will be cool to see if I can improve on some things compared to our last fight.

‘’All the pressure is on me as I won the first fight and I’m coming back from a defeat, but I can handle the pressure. Morelli may be tough and dangerous, but I’m tougher and even more dangerous! I’m not underestimating her, certainly not, but I’m faster and better on my feet, and that will determine the outcome of this fight.

‘’For me it’s all about coming back from my loss to Farias and showing that I’m as strong as ever and ready to challenge for more world titles. I’ve not lost any of my confidence and I’m ready for anybody out there!’’
