BoxingScene.com caught up with junior middleweight contender James Kirkland this past Saturday in San Antonio, Texas.
Kirkland hasn't fought since last year's terrific knockout victory over Glen Tapia in Atlantic City. While Kirkland couldn't divulge many details, he did reveal that he expects to have his promotional issues resolved by the end of next month.
"I'm looking at getting back in ASAP. I've got a lot of things going on. I have a lot of things going on with my promotional company and a lot of stuff going on with particular fights that may end up happening so I am just anxious to get back in there as soon as possible.
"This week and then again next month I have meetings scheduled to actually make a positive thing happen to get me in the ring as soon as possible," Kirkland told BoxingScene.com.
