In a recent interview with touchgloves, internet street fight champion Kimbo Slice discussed his June 16 mixed-martial-arts bout with former heavyweight champion Ray Mercer. The fight takes place at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

While Mercer predicted a one-punch knockout, Slice did not offer a prediction on the fight.

"I'm gonna get in there and do my best. I'm gonna give 110%. I'm not gonna sit down, I'm ready to bang it out you know," Slice said.

Slice grew in popularity when his backyard, bareknuckle fight videos were the talk of the town on youtube.com. For at least a year, thousands of fans wondered what would happen if Slice was thrown in the ring with someone that actually knows how to fight, and not some bouncer from a club or gang member from the hood.

"I mean, you know, he's fighting. I would never disrespect anybody or underestimate anyone. I have respect for everyone as a fighter. Especially as a professional, he's a professional boxer. I give him all the respect in the world as a fighter. When two men get in the ring, the best man is gonna walk out of there. The better man is going to win. I have all the respect in the world for every fighter," Slice said.
