Lightweight Kid Diamond, trained by Miguel Diaz, of Las Vegas will take on Jairo Ramirez of Mexico in the main event of a Top Rank/OLN championship card at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on Thursday, Sept. 14.

Diamond, 22-1-1, is coming off a crunching stoppage of Antonio Wong. Highlights of that bout were broadcast on OLN during the recent Kelly Pavlik vs. Bronco McKart bout. Jairo Ramirez has a record of 20-2-0.

"Diamond always had a hard straight punch," said Diaz. "Now we have added to his arsenal with a hard hook to the body. He is bending well and throwing hooks and is more of a complete fighter."

The opening bout on OLN will feature a rematch between middleweights Jose Luis Zertuche and Fulgencio Zuniga. The two were in an all-out firefight on April 8, 2005. Zertuche closed strong and thought he won the fight but it was officially ruled a draw.

Also appearing on the Top Rank card will be Andy Lee, the young phenom middleweight from Limerick, Ireland; super flyweight Diosdado Gabi of The Phillippines and cruiserweight Dewey Cooper of Las Vegas.

Tickets start at $25 and will be available at The Orleans Arena Box Office.
