Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) tore apart his domestic rival, IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs), during an open workout for the press.
Khan is preparing to face WBC middleweight champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez on May 7th from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The fight takes place at catch-weight of 155-pounds, with Khan moving up by eight pounds to take the fight.
Brook, who felt he was close to a deal to secure a fight with Khan in June, is without a dance partner for a planned summer return.
His next mandatory challenger could potentially b unbeaten contender Errol Spence (20-0, 17KOs), who last Saturday night demolished former champion Chris Algieri in five rounds.
Spence was ordered to face Konstantin Ponomarev (30-0, 13KOs) in an IBF final eliminator. Brook will be forced to take on the winner, and Spence is a heavy favorite to win that fight.
Khan, who calls Brook the 'King of Mandatories' - believes Spence could be the first mandatory that Brook actually avoids.
"That's a good fight. That could be the first mandatory that he doesnt take. If he's 'Mr. Mandatory' he should take that fight. I wish him the best. He's taking his road and I'm taking mine," Khan said.
Spence has gone on record that he's willing to face Brook at any time and has no issue with traveling over to the UK to make the fight happen. Brook was in the ring last month, when he destroyed mandatory challenger Kevin Bizier in two rounds at the Sheffield Arena.
Brook would like to get a major name for the summer, like WBO champion Jessie Vargas or former beltholder Timothy Bradley, but neither boxer will be too interested in traveling over to the UK for a fight with Brook.
