A few days ago, it was reported that former world champion Amir Khan was attacked and chased through the streets by a group of men during what was described as a terrifying road rage incident.

Khan was driving through Greater Manchester when the incident took place. He was called the local police after his Range Rover may have cut off another vehicle while making a wrong turn while driving.

When the incident happened, the paper notes that several men jumped out of the car and one swung a punch at Amir during the confrontation in Bolton, Gtr Manchester, at around 9.15pm on Friday.

A Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman said to The Sun: “We were called to reports of road rage incident/assault. It appears the person driving has made a wrong turn and this has angered the person behind them and there’s been an altercation. The driver of the first car was punched. There were no arrests. Anyone with information should contact us.”

Khan has confirmed the incident took place and says three men "tried to attack me."

"I was raging, I was really angry," Khan told TMZ. "I don't want to throw punches because I can definitely hurt someone quite badly. My hands are weapons. They're weapons."

Khan also says his religion played a huge role in his decision to walk away.

"It's the month of Ramadan ... It's a holy month. I'm a Muslim. Maybe things would have been different if it wasn't the month of Ramadan," Khan said.

This is not the first time where Khan had a snafu over his Range Rover.

Back in 2012, a six man gang tried to steal the car from the boxer after following him out from a night spot. Amir and his younger brother Haroon Khan, fought the men off on the streets of Birmingham.

Khan has been out of the ring since May 2016, when he moved up to a catch-weight of 155-pounds and was knocked out in six rounds by then WBC middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
