Palms Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nev. - Former champion Amir Khan watched his domestic rival Kell Brook blitz an overmatched Jo Jo Dan on a monitor at Showtime's Jhonny Gonzalez-Gary Russell fight in Las Vegas on Saturday night.  Khan said he would have been more impressed if Brook had had that type of performance against a more notable opponent.

"I saw the fight on the TV screen (at the Palms). Look, he beat Jo Jo Dan who isn't a big name. It was a tuneup fight for him. At the end of the day I think his opposition could have been a little bit better," said Khan.

The 28-year-old Khan feels that instead of calling him out, Brook should fight better opposition and earn the fight.

"I think he should be fighting the top guys but obviously he's not doing that. He calls me out all of the time and I think that fight will happen one day but I don't know when," Khan told BoxingScene.com while saying that he has bigger fish to fry. "I'm taking my own route, hoping to fight the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, the (Tim) Bradleys out there, the Keith Thurmans. Kell Brook is always going to be there. That is a fight that can be made in the UK."
