Former champion Amir Khan is very popular with the tabloid press in the UK. Some of the recent headlines circulating in the British circles were claiming that Khan was partying with women on a recent vacation in Marbella, Spain. There is only one problem, Khan is currently engaged and plans to marry fiancée Faryal Makhdoom in the near future.
Khan is training in California with his new coach Virgil Hunter. He says the British tabloids are not causing any issues in his professional life or with his better half.
"She's cool. She knows the truth, because I didn't do anything, honestly. She doesn't believe anything that the papers say anyway, because I'm honest to her. I don't have to lie. There's always going to be stuff said about me. It's a distraction when you prepare, definitely. I think that's why my fiancée and my family haven't really spoken to me about it. They've just kept it with them," Khan said.
Khan faces Carlos Molina on December 15th in Los Angeles. Showtime will televise.
