Vladimir Hryunov praised manager/adviser Al Haymon for a quick finalized deal and his willingness to match former three division world champion Adrien Broner (30-2, 22KOs) against Khabib Allakhverdiev (19-1, 9KOs)

The two fighters will clash on October 3rd for the vacant WBA 'regular' junior welterweight title, which Khabib lost a year ago.

Khabib has been inactive since last April, when he suffered what some felt was a controversial decision loss against Jessie Vargas on the Manny Pacquiao-Tim Bradley II undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

After that fight was over, Hryunov says Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum promised him a rematch. Khabib sat on the shelf waiting and the rematch never happened.

"It will be a very exciting fight. I always believed Khabib was the best fighter in his weight class," said Hryunov

"For a year Allakhverdiev has not been in the ring and I think Top Rank and Bob Arum are to blame. Arum personally promised us a rematch with Vargas. Then recently I received a request about the possibility of a WBA title fight between Khabib and Broner. I immediately got in touch with Al Haymon, and in two weeks we signed a contract. This is my first experience with Haymon, and I am pleased that everything went seamlessly and quickly."
