New WBO Intercontinental lightweight champion Kevin Mitchell is eagerly awaiting this month's rankings from the governing body.
Mitchell lifted the title with a sensational eighth round stoppage of John Murray in Liverpool last month.
Mitchell's targets include WBA champion Brandon Rios.
But a top rating with the WBO could put him on collision course with legend and current champion Juan Manuel Marquez.
Mitchell, who spent months as the WBO's number one ranked lightweight ahead of his clash with Michael Katsidis, is currently outside the organisation's top 15.
Murray is at number three though, and when the next set of ratings are published for August, Mitchell can realistically expect to have overtaken his British rival.
