Unbeaten British lightweight Kevin Mitchell is certain a fight with WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez will happen very soon. Mitchell faces Michael Katsidis for the WBO's interim title on Saturday night. The winner becomes the WBO's mandatory challenger at the weight. Marquez defends the title against Juan Diaz in a rematch on July 31.

Mitchell is the favorite to beat the veteran Katsidis. The fight is seen as a close one with plenty of action expected from the opening bell.

"I'll definitely fight Marquez, 100%, and it would have to be in the not-too-distant future. He's the biggest dangerman out there," Mitchell said to ESPN's UK outlet. "I'm 25 years old now so I want to go looking for the big names - I don't care who I fight. As you get older the fear tends to leave you."

"Don't tell me about hunger. I'm hungrier than [anyone]. They don't have a clue about hunger. I'm not hungry, I'm starving."
