WBA "regular" welterweight champ Yuri Nuzhenko could be defending the title against Vyacheslav Senchenko on April 10 in Donetsk. It´s not a done deal though. Set for the bill promoted by Union Boxing Team though are defenses by EE-EU champs Stas Kashtanov, super middleweight, and jr. welterweight Vladimir Kravets. EBU featherweight champ Oleg Yefimovitch makes a voluntary defence of the title against Frenchamn Osman Aktas.
WBO interim cruiserweight king Victor Ramirez defends the title against Ali Ismailov April 11 in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Ismailov hails from Azerbaijan and hold the WBO Latin title.
Finnish heavyweight Juho Haapoja retained the BBU title with a second round TKO over faded Estonian veteran Valery Semishkur Saturday night in Vaasa on Caramelito Promotions inuagural show. Haapoja is next booked to fight on March 13 in Kemi on a Steel Ring show.
Danish paper Ekstrabladet writes that the Danish super fight between former stable and gymmates, Mikkel Kessler, the WBA super middleweight champ, and Mads Larsen, probably won´t happen at this stage. There´s been problems all along in staging the fight and now it´s likely that Kessler will make a voluntary defense or face mandatory challenger Gusmyl Perdomo.
Russian cruiserweight Alexander Kotlobay knocked out Hungarian Joszef Nagy in the second round in a scheduled ten-rounder Friday night in St Petersburg. Middleweight Gennadyi Martirosyan defended the PABA title against Kiatchai Singwancha from Thailand with a ninth round knockout.
German female flyweight Nadia Raoui fights Maria Rosa Tabbuso for the vacant WIBA title April 4 in Duesseldorf in a supporting bout to Povetkin - Estrada.
