MGZ Promotions is ready to get back to their events, as the ongoing coronavirus pandemic continues to play out.

One of the events they are planning is for Marbella, Argentina in August - with junior middleweight Kerman Lejarraga (30-2, 24 KOs) in action.

Txutxi del Valle, the coach of Lejarraga, mentioned this past Sunday in an interview with on Prensaboxeo, that his boxer would be back in the month of August.

There was minor talk of Lejarraga being the comeback opponent for the returning two division world champion Sergio Martinez, who is snapping a six year layoff to box again.

But Lejarraga's team wants him to take a stay-busy fight or two, and then face Martinez or someone else of note.

The boxer has been out of the ring since February, when he won a ten round unanimous decision over Jose de Jesus Macias.

Their goal at the moment is to improve the boxer's skills.

"With Kerman, he was already doing a lot more boxing," De Valle said. "It is not always necessary to go very crazy; I am convinced that he will also be a super welterweight champion. The best of Kerman is yet to come. The fight with Sergio 'Maravilla' Martínez is very morbid but right now it's not in our heads."

"A good show with an international fight by Kerman, that allows him to once again be among the top fifteen on the world scene. And therefore with the possibility of contesting for a world title in the coming months. Regarding the opponent there are several names on the table, but first we are talking to the IBF, to others ... to make it for an intermediate title that gets him a good rank so he can have the opportunity to go for a world title. If we can, we want to do twelve rounds, it would be much better than a ten rounder."
