BoxingScene.com was advised by former junior welterweight champion Kendall "Rated R" Holt that he will be returning to the ring on January 29th on the undercard to the Tim Bradley versus Devon Alexander mega-fight.
Holt, who is managed by New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs recently signed with Gary Shaw Promotions.
Holt is looking to make major moves in 2011 and campaign at welterweight. He is first going to test the waters at a catchweight just below the welterweight limit. Holt told BoxingScene, "I just got the news that I will be on the Bradley-Alexander undercard. I don't have an opponent yet but the fight will be at 144 pounds."
Holt last appeared in the ring in February when he failed to answer the bell for the 7th round versus Kaizer Mabuza. The New Jersey native said he is focused for one more title run.
"I am excited to be with Gary Shaw and happy to be on such a big card. This fight is an 8 round fight and I am looking to doing big things in 2011."
