During a court appearance on Friday, former WBO junior welterweight champion Kendall Holt has pleaded guilty to a money laundering charge in New Jersey. The charge is connected to his manager, Henry Cortes, who was arrested last year for his part in numerous drug deals. Cortes plead guilty to drug charges in February.
Holt told the court that several times in 2007 and early 2008 he picked up bags of money and delivered them to Cortes. Holt told the judge that he knew the money was from drug transactions. As part of a deal, the charge will be dismissed if Holt enters a pretrial intervention program.
