Kelly Pavlik vs. Bernard Hopkins on October 18 HBO PPV?

It appears negotiations for a fight with WBO welterweight champion Paul Williams have hit a snag, and now there are serious talks to match WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik against former light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins on October 18 in Atlantic City. The fight would land on HBO pay-per-view.

MaxBoxing/BoxingScene.com's Steve Kim broke the news of the possible Pavlik-Hopkins encounter, no word yet on the agreed upon weight. Hopkins last fought in April, losing a split-decision to Joe Calzaghe.
