WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik (32-0, 29KOs) is promising another action-packed bout in the rematch with Jermain Taylor (27-1-1, 17KOs) on Feb. 16 in Las Vegas.

The first bout in Atlantic City was a classic. Pavlik, the heavy-hitter, was knocked down and almost out in the second round, only to survive and return the favor in the seventh by knocking Taylor out for the middleweight crown. Pavlik promises the same kind of fight in the rematch, a battle from the opening round.

"There's going to be fireworks in the ring, just like the first fight," Pavlik said. "You know what's going to happen in the next fight. I'm going to be there, I'm going to throw a lot of punches. What am I going to do that's different? Nothing."

The rematch, pursuant to the terms of the rematch clause, will take place at a catch-weight of 166-pounds, so the middleweight titles are not on the line.
