Hard Rock Resort & Casino, Las Vegas - Super middleweight contender Kelly Pavlik (39-2, 34KOs) stopped Scott Sigmon (22-4, 12KOs) in seven rounds. Pavlik unleashed a beating from round to round. The fight became a bloodbath by the seventh round, with Sigmon's face bleeding from every corner. Before the start of the eight round, the ringside doctor stopped the fight.
Hot super bantamweight prospect Jesse Magdaleno (10-0, 7KOs) destroyed Carlos Valcarcel (12-5-4, 5KOs) in the first round. After dropping Valcarcel early, Magdaleno finished him off with a strong flurry against the ropes as referee Tony Weeks jumped in to wave it off.
Light heavyweight prospect Mike Lee (9-0, 5KOs) won a six round unanimous decision over Eliseo Durazo (3-3). Lee outoworked Durazo over the course of the fight, but he was never able to hurt him during the fight. All three judges saw it 59-54.
In a super middleweight bout, Rudy Puga (3-0, 3KOs) beat down Tommy Turner (2-2, 1KOs) in two rounds. Turner went down in the first and three times in the second.
Lightweight Gerardo Robles (18-10, 9KOs) shocked fan favorite Roger "Speedy" Gonzalez (27-5, 18KOs) by way of an eight round majority decision. Gonzalez went down in the first and the second. Robles was in trouble during the fourth. They fought on even terms for the remainder. The scores were 75-75, 76-74 and 76-74.
In a battle of undefeated super featherweights, Saul Rodriguez (5-0, 4KOs), trained by Robert Garcia, won a four round unanimous decision over Kevin Davila (1-1). The scores were 40-46, 40-36 and 39-37.
