The Yorkshire Star reports that unbeaten welterweight contender Kell Brook (21-0, 14KOs) has been convicted of common assault after punching out a nightclub manager for not allowing him to enter the "ladies' toilets."
The 24-year-old boxer punched manager Ryan Casey in the ribs and then went upstairs with a hard shot to the jaw. The Magistrates found Brook guilty of common assault by beating. The sentencing was adjourned for reports. Brook had been out with friends at the Che nightclub in Barnsley celebrating his birthday.
