WBA 'regular' welterweight champion Keith Thurman (24-0, 21KOs) is still very eager to get Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) in the ring.
Thurman and Khan were both featured on the same card last December at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Khan dominated Devon Alexander over twelve rounds and Thurman also picked up a twelve round decision against Leonard Bundu in the co-feature.
After the fight, Thurman challenged Khan to a future meeting. At the moment, the British star has no interest in Thurman. He is pursuing the top names, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.
Thurman will once again return to the MGM Grand on March 7th, when he faces former multi-division champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero. Should he defeat Guerrero, Thurman is once again ready to face Khan.
"Of course [I want him]. Ever since he stepped up to 147-pounds I’ve been willing to fight him. I said I was willing to fight him the night I fought Bundu. That ain’t nothing new man. I’m ready, let’s go. I said it a thousand times, I got an 0 and I’m not afraid to let it go. Beat me, beat me, BEAT ME!!! Let’s go, I’m not worried about nothing," Thurman told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.
