Unbeaten welterweight KeAndre Gibson returns to action on November 18, Golden Boy Promotions matchmaker Robert Diaz told BoxingScene.com.
Gibson will face Mahonry Montes in an eight round bout at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif. The bout will precede the 10 round welterweight clash between Mauricio Herrera and Pablo Cesar Cano.
Both fights will air live on Estrella TV, beginning at 10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT.
Gibson (15-0-1, 7 KOs) is one of Golden Boy Promotions’ top prospects. Gibson has not fought since March 25, when he stopped former world title challenger Hector Velazquez after the sixth round.
The Saint Louis, Missouri resident was scheduled to fight Cano on July 15, but was had to withdraw from the fight with an elbow injury three and a half weeks before the fight.
Montes’ (32-5-1, 22 KOs) most recent defeat was a 10 round split decision defeat to Ashley Theophane in April of last year. He also has lost decisions to Humberto Soto and Erick Bone.
Montes, who resides in the boxing hotbed of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico, has won his last two bouts.
RingTVLive.com will air the Golden Boy Promotions card in its entirety, beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET/ 5:30 p.m. PT.
