On June 2 in Herning, Denmark, the mandatory challenger for the IBF Light Heavyweight Championship, Karo Murat (24-1-1, 14 KOs). After a long break since the hard fought draw with Gabriel Campillo in October 2011, he will be fighting Cuban Miguel Velozo (14-1-1, 5KOs).
It was Campillo who got the first shot at Cloud and ended up a controversial loser while Murat has waited for his chance. Murat´s opponent is a Cuban who fights out of the Czech Republic and holds the national title.
“"Although I am the mandatory for some time now, the fight has not happened yet. However, I have to step inside the ring as my last fight took place nine months ago. I cannot risk being rusty when fighting for a world championship,"” said the 28-year-old Murat. Still, he does not underestimate his next opponent. “"I will not have Velozo crashing my dreams of a title-shot. I will be focused to get this obstacle out of my way."”
In the main event, Mads Larsen (51-3, 38 KOs) wants to get back on track and in just nine days, he will get the chance to show the world that he still belongs to the best the super-middleweight division has to offer. On June 2 in Herning, Denmark the former European Champion is going to face-off with unbeaten Englishman Luke Blackledge (9-0, 3 KOs).
