Newly crowned WBC flyweight champion Koki Kameda (22-0, 14KOs) is already gearing up for his next opponent. Kameda decisioned Daisuke Naito in a career defining win over the weekend in Japan. According to reports coming out of Japan, the wheels are turning for Kameda's first title defense against interim-champion Pongsaklek Wonjongkam (73-3, 39KOs) of Thailand.
Wonjongkam is a very tough first defense. Since 1996, the only loss on his record was by way of a close decision to Naito. He fought Naito to a draw a year later in 2008. Since the draw he won six in a row, including four by knockout.
