The Kameda brothers doubleheader is set for July 25 at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium in Japan. Former champion Koki Kameda (22-1, 14KOs) moves up to super flyweight to face Cecilio Santos (24-14, 14KOs) of Mexico. Koki wants to test out some new waters after losing his WBC flyweight title in March to Pongsaklek Wonjongkam. Koki is also a former WBA junior flyweight champion.
WBA flyweight champion Daiki Kameda (16-2, 11KOs) is set to take on Rosendo Vega (16-5, 11KOs), also of Mexico, in a non-title fight. A tuneup for Daiki before facing Takefumi Sakata on September 25.
