Potsdam, Germany - Latvian heavyweight Edgars Kalnars headlined Elite Box
Promotion´s inaugural Friday Night Fights at the Blue Box (das Blaues Haus) and knocked out Romanian Patriche Costel in the second of a scheduled eight rounder. Costel´s southpaw stance seemed to give Kalnars some problems in the first but in the second Costel went down and out from a bodyshot that didn´t seem that hard. But then again Patriche wasn´t in the shape expected of a professional fighter.

Swede Vatche Wartanian reurned at welterweight after a long layoff and won every round of his six-rounder against Slovakian Lubomir Wejs. Vatche looked a bit rusty but showed good combinations and had Wejs shaken in the third and fifth rounds.

Light heavyweight Mathias Kempe also came back and stopped Romanian Mihai Dumitru in the first of a scheduled six-rounder.

Tonton Semakala was forced off the bill due to an injury.

The next Elite show at the Blue Box is scheduled for April 28.
