Heavyweight veteran Kali Meehan (36-4, 29KOs), spoke to BoxingScene.com about the upcoming heavyweight unification between WBO/IBO/IBO king Wladimir Klitschko and his WBA counterpart David Haye, which takes place on June 25 or July 2 in Germany. Meehan believes the fight is a lot closer than most people think. He predicts a cat and mouse clash of styles, with Haye using quick defensive movements and Klitschko working his well known jab. But, he would not be surprised to see either fighter win the contest with a knockout.

"I think it's the fight that everyone wants to see. To be honest, I think it's a 50-50 fight. People think that David Haye is going to run over and throw bombs, but I don't think that's going to happen. I think if Haye lands some of those hard punches, Klitschko is in trouble. I think he's going to box around a lot, and use movement, and he'll try to sneak in the shots. Wladimir will be using his long jab and tying him up when he needs to. The hype might be bigger than the fight," Meehan said.

"They are both in danger, and they are both dangerous. So obviously they are both going to be cautious. I think it's good fight that the world wants to see. They are both good punchers, but the questions is - can David Haye get past Wladimir's long jab? Klitschko is going to use that long jab, he'll hold when he needs to, and eventually he'll begin to land that right hand. If he lands that big right hand on Haye, he could be in trouble."
