In the wake of the unexpected passing of it's CEO, Michael King, there were many questions regarding the future of King Sports in the boxing business. They released a statement on Monday making it clear that they are still in the thick of things for the time being.

On June 20th in Montreal, they have Hassan N'Dam fighting for the vacant IBF middleweight title versus David Lemieux.

But who else fights under their banner?

King Sports matchmaker Che Guevara said to BoxingScene.com:

"We got Charles Martin, he's sits at number two in the WBO, currently number five int he IBF at heavyweight. We're looking to get him back in there as soon as July. Next guy is Miguel Marriaga, we share him with All-Star Promotions in Florida, he's fighting Nicholas Walters this weekend. Frederic Lawson is are other guy, a '47-pounder, currently sits number seven in the IBF and he's doing a three-fight deal right now that's in the works and it's close to getting done witih Leon Margules.

"Chris Van Heerden, he's number eight in the IBF, he's a 147-pounder. We just fought him on the Sugar Ray Leonard show. Nothing doing with him but we're looking for some pretty big things for him soon,"continued Guevara."Micheal Soro, we're excited about him, he's a talent and he's actually going to Italy here on June 20th to get the EBU title we were going to do before the (Glen) Tapia fight and when we get back we got two fights along with Top Rank. So hopefully those are meaningful fights but he's number three in the WBO right now and we're excited about that kid," continued Guevara.

"Of course we made our run with Youri Kalenga, he fought for the WBA (cruiserweight) championship (vs Denis Lebedev, who decisioned him over 12 rounds on April 10th in Russia). We'll get him back in there. It was a good try, he fell short versus Lebedev. And we have Richard Commey, who just grabbed the IBF International strap at 135 in Las Vegas against Bahodir Mamadjonov."

As for when King Sports will stage another promotion, Paul Cain, their Director of Boxing Operations said - "We'll wait to see how N'dam does and hopefully he wins the middleweight championship, which will hopefully give us the TV dates where we can put some of our guys on the undercards."
