After Gareth Williams, attorney for Ricky Hatton (43-1, 31KOs), told Daily Mail that UK rival Junior Witter (36-1, 21KOs) will never get a crack at Hatton as long as he continues to trash him in the media (Click Here To Read) , Witter took the time to respond while speaking to The Telegraph.

Witter, the WBC 140-pound champion, says if Hatton wants to be considered as the best junior welterweight in the world - he has to beat him first.

"He wants to be known as the best light-welterweight in the world, but to do that he has to deal with me first. According to Ring Magazine I'm the best light-welter out there," Witter said. "I'd fight Hatton at Wembley, Manchester or wherever. We've spoken to HBO and Showtime who have said they are interested in making that fight."

IBF 140-pound champ Paulie Malignaggi (23-1, 5KOs) is the current frontrunner to face Hatton, tentatively in New York's Madison Square Garden.
