REIGNING Pan Asian Boxing Association (PABA) super featherweight champion Jun Paderna will put his title on the line for the second time against a Thai challenger later this month.
The hard-hitting Paderna takes on Chotipath Wongprated on August 26 in a soon to announced venue in Metro Manila, Philippines.
Paderna captured regional title for 130-pound division of the organization under the World Boxing Association on February 2 in Ubon Rachathani, Thailand with a devastating first round knockout of Suttisak Samaksaman in a rematch.
The 5-foot-5 brawler of Rex “Wakee” Salud defended it against the the former World Boxing Organization Asia Pacific bantamweight king Kularbdang Kiatkrerin in a makeshift arena on April 21 at Rajah Sulaiman Park in Manila.
Wongpradet is ranked No. 15 in PABA’s June rankings. He is from the Songchai Ratanasuban stable.
The 23-year old Paderna has a record of 12-6-1, with 6 knockouts in his career.
