The invasion of Mexico was made with great success for three young prospects from the Virgin Islands. Before we get to the invasion at Malecon Turistico in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico, junior welterweight Jorge Pimentel (22-9, 17KOs) overcame a third round knockdown to win a ten round decision over Roberto Tamayo (10-6). The scores were  98-92, 98-92 and 98-95.

The two sons of boxing great Julian Jackson, made the best of their boxing debuts in Mexico. Middleweight Julius Jackson (6-0, 4KOs) stopped Noe Flores (2-3) in four rounds. Junior middleweight John Jackson (6-0, 6KOs) stopped another opponent from reaching the final bell. This time Alvaro Clinton Ayala (19-9) fell in three rounds.

Also in action, junior middleweight Samuel Rogers (7-0, 3KOs) won a six round unanimous decision over Carlos Maldonado (4-6). Maldonado showed his heart by taking punishment and being able to last until the bell. Rogers dropped him in round one, two and three.
