After successfully defend his world flyweight title of the World Boxing Council against unbeaten contender Jay Harris, dangerous puncher Julio Cesar Martinez has the firm objective to reign in at least two or three more fights in that division.

Once he accomplishes that, he wants to change his weight category to super flyweight.

"I feel good after winning and despite the [left] hand injury I felt very good, it was worth it, I will continue to defend this belt with pride. I want to raise my hand with with whatever opponent that comes."

Martinez is already looking ahead to some of the big money fights at 115-pounds, in the super flyweight division, with some of the big names like Juan Francisco Estrada and Chocolatito.

"Yes, I have been thinking that I want to dominate my division and then go on to super flyweight to face Juan Francisco 'Gallo' Estrada and Román 'Chocolatito' González, and whomever else they put in front of me and without any fear," said the young boxer

Martinez prepared very hard with coaches Eddy Reynoso and Mauricio Aceves for the clash against British contender Jay Harris.

"The work I did with them was very good, being on the mountain helped me a lot, although sometimes it was very tough - but it was good because they also motivates me and give me advice.. being there with Saúl Álvarez, with Oscar Valdéz, with Luis Nery," Martinez said.

Martinez will be resting for 15 to 20 days because of the sprain in his hand and then return to training. With his most recent win the boxer, originally from the Tepito colony, raised his record to 16 wins, one loss and 12 by knockout.
