Undefeated junior middleweight contender Julian Williams (22-0-1, 14KOs) is counting down the days until his mandatory title fight with IBF world champion Jermall Charlo (24-0, 18KOs).

Both fighters have been out of the ring since the first half of the year, while the details were being worked out for their showdown.

Williams was in the ring back in March, when he stopped Marcello Matano in seven rounds. Charlo retained his world title back in May with a twelve round unanimous decision over former world champion Austin Trout in Las Vegas.

Williams and Charlo are both advised by Al Haymon and fight under the Premier Boxing Champions banner. According to Williams, the fight was agreed upon several months ago. He was advised that a date is being set aside in December.

"As far as I know the fight is supposed to take place in December. I was told the fight was agreed upon months ago, but there were a few setbacks for whatever reason and I'm just looking forward to the fight," Williams told Premier Boxing Champions.

Jermall is the twin brother of unbeaten Jermell Charlo, who holds the WBC junior middleweight title. Jermall is regarded as the bigger puncher of the two twins. Williams is widely respected and viewed by many as one of the best up and coming fighters in the sport. He wants to make a statement by showcasing his talents against Charlo. He doesn't want to waste his time talking, he wants to prove it in the ring.

"I think I'm a better fighter, but I plan on proving it on fight night. I don't really get into his fans or my fans. opinions really don't matter, we gotta to fight the fight inside the ring," Williams said. "I'm gonna be quiet. I don't have to talk, Im going to let my hands do the talking."
