It was reported by the local news stations in Pennsylvania that light heavyweight Julian "Mr. KO" Letterlough was murdered yesterday night. Early reports suggest that Letterlough was shot at close range. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the tragedy.

Letterlough had not fought since October of 2004, when he defeated Eric Starr by way of a two round stoppage. Letterlough also fought undefeated Daniel Judah (older brother of Zab) last April to a disputed draw, most ringside observers felt Letterlough should have been awarded the decision. Letterlough's bout with Julio Gonzalez was a classic war, one of the best ever fought in the light heavyweight division. His HBO televised bout with Vassily Jirov was exciting as well, Letterlough stunned Jirov badly in the fight, but Jirov was able to come back and  stop Mr. KO in the 8th round.

Letterlough had a 21-5-3 record with 20 big wins by knockout. Our prayers are with the family of Julian Letterlough.
