The AP reports that a Las Vegas judge has issued an outstanding arrest warrant for Floyd Mayweather Jr. on a misdemeanor battery complaint alleging he poked a security guard in the face several times. Las Vegas police Officer Bill Cassel said Thursday that the warrant, issued on December 8, requires Mayweather to turn himself in or face arrest at any time.
The infamous face poking incident took place on November 15 outside of Mayweather's home. Mayweather confronted the security guard over a parking ticket beef. Mayweather faces a a six-month jail sentence and a $1,000 fine if convicted for the face poke.
Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Tony Abbatangelo signed the arrest warrant for Mayweather after a hearing on December 7, but then immediately recalled it. It was reinstated after prosecutors complained Mayweather had received special treatment.
