Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank, said that he will be working on staging a rematch between featherweights Orlando Salido and Juan Manuel Lopez for November or December and the rematch could be held at New York's Madison Square Garden or the site of the first meeting, Puerto Rico. On Saturday night in Puerto Rico, Salido overcame some early trouble to drop Juanma hard and then follow it up by stopping him in the eight round to capture the WBO title.

"Definitely, we're going to do the rematch. It may be on the island or perhaps in the Madison Square Garden in New York. What happened was very traumatic happened, but in November or early December we will do a rematch," Arum said. "Juanma said he wants a rematch so the issue doesn't need any discussion.

At the time of the stoppage, two judges had the fight scored a draw 66-66, while a third favored Lopez 67-65.
