Former two division champion Juan Manuel Lopez (31-1, 28 knockouts) is pleased with Saturday's two round stoppage of Mike Oliver (25-3, 8 KOs). Oliver went down three times before the fight was stopped. It was Juanma's first bout since losing to Orlando Salido, by way of a technical knockout, in April. Juanma is now ready to face any of the champions in his weight division and he doesn't care which opponent comes first.
"Now I can fight with Orlando Salido, Yuriorkis Gamboa or Johnny Gonzalez. Whoever the promoter tells me [to fight]. I do not shy away from opponents and I will never do it at this point. I want to fight for the title. I didn't fight [Salido] on Saturday because we couldn't reach an agreement on the date with the television network. And I want you to know that I hope this is resolved [a rematch with Salido] in the first quarter of 2012, and I hope to have the rematch in Puerto Rico. That was a bad night and when we fight again I'll beat him," Juanma said.
